Things we loved: - amazing adult and kids pool facility, big clean comfortable depth - FDM Riya was wonderful to us: friendly, open and very professional in handling our concerns - coffee machine at the restaurant - parking on-site FOOD and Service: - for a 5 star hotel breakfast was poor, nothing special - pool bar is amazing: great food, big portions, delicious drinks; - ambience is also nice, we loved the DJ and the bar team was exceptional (Elvira and the boys)! - front desk team was very nice every time we approached, very helpful ROOMS and Facility: - rooms need maintenance (some rooms are under renovation) - room key stops working often - AC is very noisy - some problems with water and power shortages - in general, it doesn’t look and feel like a 5 star hotel because of outdated rooms and dirty cups/plates around pool area.

Returned to this area of India after 20 years. Seen alot of change in Goa, most of it not good. Booked into the Hard Rock as have stayed at other hard rocks around the world. This one was a let down to start with. My friend and I checked in... Fairly quick. Rooms were tired, old, with damp walls. Some mould and mirrors and furniture past it's sell by date. Complained within 5 mins of seeing the room. Both to the reception and Expedia (who am exceptionally disappointed with, and am still waiting on a response from them :( ).... Manager (Nirmal) was kind enough though to upgrade us the following day and gave us 2 suites (thank you 🙏). Both better maintained but still needing updating. Some other bad things: * Music in evenings is lovely but too loud as can't even talk to other people. * Pool needs to be cleaned regularly as appears clouded and should be crystal clear. * Regular power cuts... Not the hotels fault as dodgy grid. But maybe a better seamless generator / inverter needed. Now to balance things out... Good things: * Amazing bar staff.. Alvira, Deepak both friendly, kind...always a smile and prompt with drinks. Gave good ideas and v professional. * Pool side guys - Harekrishnan and Gopal. Both nice guys but have a v hard job controlling crazy guests. Some who don't listen. My friend and I found them v helpful and prompt. * Restaurant looks v tired and needs updating... However again good staff. Calling out Anokha for her kindness, smile and lovely demunre. * Area around pool was beautiful with well looked after palm trees and vegetation , nice to chill and contemplate. Hotel maintenance seems to be ongoing and patch work everywhere. Not sure why management don't just close part of hotel and do it properly. It has alot of potential. The staff are hard working and lovely. Pls give everyone above a pay rise... I will look in on them in a few months and ask... Beware management :)

We had a great stay at Hard Rock Hotel, a highlight definitely the Tonic Bar and the pool was fantastic. We spent loads of time by the pool and the staff were amazing. All the staff were friendly, professional and personable. A standout was Elvira who worked at Tonic Bar. She took the time to get to know our trip and what we wanted from Goa and provided outstanding customer service and travel advice well exceeding her usual hospitality duties. We had many meals in our stay and the food was great. The music by the pool was also appropriate to the setting and provided for a fantastic ambiance that made our stay even more relaxing.

Had a fabulous time at the Hard Rock Cafe. Great customer service from Elvira and the rest of the staff working at the Tonic Bar. Great atmosphere laying by the pool. Really good food and drinks from the pool bar and the main restaurant. Would highly recommend this hotel to all types of travellers.
